STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 702 2019-2020 Regular Sessions IN SENATE (Prefiled) January 9, 2019 ___________ Introduced by Sen. BOYLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT authorizing the department of environmental conservation to reis- sue a commercial food fish license, commercial crab permit, and commercial whelk permit to Todd Wolffert The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, rule or regu- 2 lation to the contrary, the department of environmental conservation is 3 hereby authorized to reissue the commercial food fish license obtained 4 pursuant to sections 13-0328 and 13-0335 of the environmental conserva- 5 tion law, the commercial crab permit provided for by section 13-0331 of 6 such law, and the commercial whelk permit provided for by section 7 13-0330 of such law to Todd Wolffert, West Islip, New York, who, for 8 reasons not ascribable to his own negligence, let his commercial food 9 fish license, commercial crab permit, and commercial whelk permit lapse 10 in 2015 after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, which he has 11 since recovered from and who has attempted to recover such license and 12 permits. 13 § 2. All costs associated with implementing the provisions of this act 14 shall be borne by Todd Wolffert. 15 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
