Assembly Resolution No. 193 BY: M. of A. Palmesano CONGRATULATING Cindy Kimble upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 15 years of distinguished service as President of the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge those individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stature of the State of New York; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Cindy Kimble upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 15 years of distinguished service as President of the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance to be celebrated at its Spring Networking Event on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum in Hammondsport, New York; and WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes region, Cindy Kimble earned her bachelor's degree in business management from St. John Fisher College, and worked as a Risk Management Supervisor for Paychex, financial manager and Blue Cross/Blue Shield administrator; and WHEREAS, Cindy Kimble has been dedicated to the region's on-the-ground economic development efforts for most of her career, spending time with the Chemung, Schuyler and Canandaigua area Chambers of Commerce and currently, serves as President of the nation's longest-standing destination marketing organization at Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, the position from which she will retire at the end of March 2023; and WHEREAS, Cindy Kimble has also spearheaded collaborative marketing efforts among hundreds of regional business partners that has resulted in very positive return on investment for participating businesses; and through her tireless efforts, has greatly improved the brand recognition of the Finger Lakes as a premier tourism destination among visitors, state, national and international travel entities, organizing major international initiatives like the Wine, Water and Wonders program which has representation in foreign markets including the United Kingdom and Germany; and WHEREAS, For her steadfast and unremitting commitment to her community, Cindy Kimble was named a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, and was selected to the Empire State Society of Association of Executives Inc., Leadership Academy; and WHEREAS, In her capacity as President, Cindy Kimble served with loyalty, honor and distinction; and WHEREAS, In her official acts, Cindy Kimble was governed by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, Cindy Kimble earned the admiration, esteem, and affection of her colleagues; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to congratulate Cindy Kimble upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 15 years of distinguished service as President of the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Cindy Kimble.
