Assembly Resolution No. 106

        HONORING  Anna  Moon Schwartz upon the occasion of
        their designation as a  Young  Entrepreneur  of  the
        Year  Award  nominee  by  the  Clarence  Chamber  of
        Commerce on March 9, 2023

  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize  and
commend  those distinguished citizens who would devote their life's work
and purpose to community service, contributing to  the  welfare  of  the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Moon Schwartz  upon  the  occasion  of  their  designation  as  a  Young
Entrepreneur  of  the  Year  Award  nominee  by  the Clarence Chamber of
Commerce, to be celebrated at its 50th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday,
March 9, 2023, at Samuel's Grande Manor in Clarence, New York; and

  WHEREAS, Moon Schwartz was nominated for this prestigious award  for
their steadfast and unremitting commitment to their beloved community of
Clarence, New York; and

  WHEREAS,  Moon Schwartz is a freshman honor student at Clarence High
School; their passion for creativity was a driving force for creating 55
Blossoms, the business they opened at the young age of 10; and

  WHEREAS, Moon Schwartz's arts and crafts  business  grew,  and  they
sold  their products at Transit Treasures and Walden Willow; today, they
sell their merchandise online, at Sapphire Salon and out of their  home,
and  at  Summer  Fest,  Fall Fest, and the Cheer Competition at Clarence
High School; and

  WHEREAS, In 2022, Moon Schwartz was named PTO Artist of the Year  at
Clarence Middle School; and

  WHEREAS,   After   graduating,  Moon  Schwartz  plans  to  pursue  a
psychology degree with the intention of  helping  teens  with  childhood
trauma; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown  a
long  and  sustained  commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Moon Schwartz upon the occasion of their designation as a nominee
for of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Clarence  Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Anna (Moon) Schwartz.
