Senate Resolution No. 2497

        COMMENDING  Valedictorian  Eden  Sophia Maynard of
        Roosevelt  High  School,  in  recognition   of   her
        outstanding accomplishments

  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body to act in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor  the  youth  of  today,  the
leaders  of  tomorrow,  whose  character  and achievements exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and

  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body  is  justly   proud   to   commend
Valedictorian   Eden   Sophia  Maynard  of  Roosevelt  High  School,  in
recognition of her outstanding accomplishments; and

  WHEREAS, Salutatorian Eden Sophia Maynard  represents  the  best  of
developed  potential  inherent in our most precious resource, our youth;
her achievements have brought enduring honor to her family and community
and should be recognized and saluted; and

  WHEREAS,  As  Valedictorian  Eden  Sophia  Maynard  takes  leave  of
Roosevelt  High  School,  she  bestows a legacy of academic achievement,
school involvement and community service to which others may aspire; and

  WHEREAS, Valedictorian Eden Sophia Maynard may now stand with  pride
as  she  assesses  her achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her
labors and the joy  of  her  accomplishments,  eager  to  face  the  new
experiences of a challenging world; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Valedictorian Eden Sophia Maynard of Roosevelt High  School,  in
recognition of her outstanding accomplishments; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Valedictorian Eden Sophia Maynard.
