        HONORING   Tompkins   Bank  of  Castile  upon  the
        occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2019
        Business of the Year Award  by  the  Genesee  County
        Chamber of Commerce on March 7, 2020

  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements  of  those  individuals  and  businesses  that   contribute
substantially  to  the  economic  vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Tompkins  Bank  of  Castile  upon  the  occasion  of  its designation as
recipient of the 2019 Business of the Year Award by the  Genesee  County
Chamber  of Commerce to be celebrated at its 47th Annual Awards Ceremony
on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Quality Inn & Suites in Batavia,  New
York; and

  WHEREAS, Tompkins Bank of Castile is receiving this auspicious award
for its demonstrated growth and commitment to Genesee County; and

  WHEREAS,  Established in 1869, Tompkins Bank of Castile is committed
to  creating  long-term  value  for   its   clients,   communities   and
shareholders; and

  WHEREAS, Located in Batavia, New York, Tompkins Bank of Castile is a
subsidiary  of Tompkins Financial Corporation, which operates a total of
65 banking offices  throughout  New  York  and  Pennsylvania,  including
Genesee,  Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming Counties, as well as Rochester
and Buffalo; and

  WHEREAS, Furthermore, out of all the banks operating in  the  United
States  today,  less than five percent have remained in business as long
as Tompkins Bank  of  Castile,  ranking  it  amongst  the  best  in  the
industry; and

  WHEREAS,  Under  the  able  leadership of its President and CEO John
McKenna, Tompkins Bank of Castile takes great  pride  in  providing  its
clients  with  the  highest-quality  financial  products and exceptional
service; and

  WHEREAS,  With  a  steadfast  and  unwavering  commitment   to   its
community, Tompkins Bank of Castile has given tirelessly of its time and
energies to countless local nonprofit and civic organizations; and

  WHEREAS,  Over  its distinguished 150-year history, Tompkins Bank of
Castile  has  demonstrated  continuous  service  to  the  residents  and
communities which it serves; and

  WHEREAS,  The  success  of  Tompkins  Bank  of  Castile is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its hardworking and dedicated staff, whose
involvement is, and always has  been,  characterized  by  an  impressive
commitment,  an  unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of

excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the business and the  community
it serves; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  with  great  pleasure  that  this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to  the  local
and  state  economies,  and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will  continue  to  enjoy
the  sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Tompkins  Bank of Castile upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2019 Business of the Year Award by the  Genesee  County
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to  John  McKenna,  President  and  CEO,  Tompkins  Bank  of
Castile, Batavia, New York.
