Senate Resolution No. 1282 BY: Senator GRIFFO HONORING Connie Wheelock upon the occasion of her retirement after 46 years of distinguished service to Oneida County, New York WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge those individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stature of the State of New York; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Connie Wheelock upon the occasion of her retirement after 46 years of distinguished service to Oneida County, New York; and WHEREAS, For the past 46 years, Connie Wheelock rendered faithful, conscientious, and valuable service to Oneida County; and WHEREAS, Connie Wheelock began her career in February 1977 as a License Examiner at the Department of Motor Vehicles; she began employment with the Department of Social Services in December of 1986, and was employed with the department for more than 30 years; and WHEREAS, She provided exemplary service to the area of Staff Development and has proven to be an asset to both DSS Administration and the Office of the County Executive in her role as Senior Administrative Assistant; and WHEREAS, Throughout her time with the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Social Services, and the Office of the County Executive, Connie Wheelock served with loyalty, honor, and distinction; and WHEREAS, In her official acts, Connie Wheelock was governed by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Office of the County Executive, Connie Wheelock earned the admiration, esteem, and affection of her colleagues; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to honor Connie Wheelock upon the occasion of her retirement after 46 years of distinguished service to Oneida County; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Connie Wheelock.
