        CONGRATULATING  the  Seaford  High  School Varsity
        Cheerleading Team upon the occasion of capturing the
        New York State High School Cheerleading Championship

  WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly  sought  after
in  high  school  sports;  this  Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special  recognition  to  those  who  pursue  such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

  WHEREAS,  Athletic  competition  helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to  congratulate  the
Seaford  High  School  Varsity  Cheerleading  Team  upon the occasion of
capturing the New York State High School  Cheerleading  Championship  at
Visions  Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton, New
York; and

  WHEREAS, Winning back-to-back State titles, the Seaford High  School
Varsity Cheerleading Team's success is derived from the squad's tireless
work  ethic;  the Vikings set a goal to achieve 30 hits, which is when a
team performs an entire routine without a deduction, by the end  of  the
season; and

  WHEREAS,  To  elevate  their  performance  this  year,  girls on the
Seaford Cheerleading Squad learned and perfected the front tuck-up; and

  WHEREAS, With this monumental win, the Vikings earned an  invite  to
the  UCA National Championship, where they placed eighth in the Division
II large team finals; and

  WHEREAS, Remaining undefeated in the county, the Seaford High School
Varsity Cheerleading Team competed in the  Nassau  County  Championship,
where the Vikings earned the highest score with a 97.3; and

  WHEREAS,  Proudly  donning  the  school's colors of green and white,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the Vikings throughout  their  journey  as  they  ended  their
season  with  an  impressive overall record and an undefeated season for
the sixth year in a row; and

  WHEREAS, In a sport such as competitive cheerleading, which  demands
athletic  prowess,  strength and agility, Head Coach Lisa Ferrari worked
hard to hone the  skills  of  this  championship  team,  teaching  these
outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable both on and off
the mat; and

  WHEREAS, Head Coach Lisa Ferrari and all of the outstanding athletes
on  the  Seaford  High  School  Varsity  Cheerleading  Team have clearly
utilized dedication, determination and teamwork in providing  a  lasting

contribution  to  the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Seaford High School Varsity Cheerleading
Team:  Kayla  Fallarino-Forte,  Ella  Bloom,  Brianna  Mirenda,  Miranda
Montes, Jillian Bartolomeo, Arianna Cangero, Juliana Strippoli, Angelina
Monopoli,  Sophia  Sampogna,  Taylor Difondi, Angelina Fernandez, Vienna
Kalischer, Alexandra Podesta, Shayla Fox,  Katie  Kofod,  Ashley  Rauch,
Cassidy Rosen, Gab Caporaso, Isabella Strippoli, Jessica Haering, Lauren
Bowers, Hayley Kern, Marisa Patsatsis, Codi Kasparian, Melissa Pheiffer,
and  Kayleigh  Elias  and  Head  Coach Lisa Ferrari upon the occasion of
capturing the New York State High School Cheerleading Championship;  and
be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  copies  of  this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted  to  the  members  of  the  Seaford  High   School   Varsity
Cheerleading Team and Head Coach Lisa Ferrari.
