        CONGRATULATING    Williamsville   North   wrestler
        Cameron Catrabone upon the occasion of  winning  the
        Freshman  Division Title at the National High School
        Coaches Association Tournament

  WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly  sought  after
in  high  school  sports;  this  Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special  recognition  to  those  who  pursue  such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

  WHEREAS,  Athletic  competition  helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

  WHEREAS, This Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to  congratulate
Williamsville  North  wrestler  Cameron  Catrabone  upon the occasion of
winning the Freshman Division Title at the National High School  Coaches
Association  Tournament  on  Sunday,  April 25, 2021, in Virginia Beach,
Virginia; and

  WHEREAS, Cameron Catrabone, a freshman at Williamsville  North  High
School in Buffalo, New York, won Section VI Wrestling Championships as a
middle  schooler  in  2019  and  2020; to the praise and applause of his
excited fans, this extraordinary young  man  reached  another  level  of
success  when  he defeated Judah Aybar of Manchester, Maryland, on a 6-5
decision to capture the Championship; and

  WHEREAS, At 132 pounds, this marks Cameron Catrabone's sixth victory
without a loss over three days in the tournament; on Friday,  April  23,
2021, he gained victories over Riley Humphrey of Auxvasse, Missouri, and
Keegan Logan of Indianapolis on technical falls, then scored a fall over
Ryder Machado of Milford, Pennsylvania, in 1:42; and

  WHEREAS,  On  Saturday,  April  24, 2021, Cameron Catrabone defeated
D'mitri Alarcon of Fort Lupton,  Colorado,  7-5,  in  a  match  sent  to
overtime;  that  same  day  he  scored a fall in 3:47 over E.J. Parco of
Danville, California; and

  WHEREAS, In his first  trip  to  the  national  tournament,  Cameron
Catrabone  is  believed to be the first Western New York wrestler to win
this esteemed event since 2015; and

  WHEREAS, In a  sport  such  as  wrestling,  which  demands  athletic
prowess,  speed and agility, Head Coach Mickey Moran worked hard to hone
the skills of this champion, teaching this outstanding  athlete  lessons
which will prove invaluable both on and off the mat; and

  WHEREAS,   Cameron   Catrabone   has  clearly  utilized  dedication,
determination and teamwork in providing a lasting  contribution  to  the
spirit of excellence which is a tradition of his school; now, therefore,
be it


  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Cameron Catrabone upon the occasion of winning the Freshman
Division  Title  at  the  National  High  School   Coaches   Association
Tournament; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  copies  of  this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Cameron Catrabone and Head Coach Mickey Moran.
