        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  highway law, in relation to the location of the
          beginning of that portion of the state highway system to be designated
          as the "Southern Adirondack Trail"
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Section  343-gg of the highway law, as amended by chapter
     2  456 of the laws of 2002, is amended to read as follows:
     3    § 343-gg. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as  the
     4  "Southern  Adirondack  Trail".  All  that  portion  of the state highway
     5  system beginning at [the intersection of the New York state thruway and]
     6  state route twenty-eight [in] at the northernmost village  line  of  the
     7  village  of  Herkimer, town of Herkimer, continuing north on state route
     8  twenty-eight through the village of Newport and through the  village  of
     9  Poland,  thence continuing northeasterly on state route eight and termi-
    10  nating at the intersection of state  routes  eight  and  thirty  in  the
    11  village of Speculator, and all that portion of Old Piseco lake road from
    12  its  intersection  with  state route eight in the vicinity of the south-
    13  western end of Piseco lake following along the shoreline of Piseco  lake
    14  to  its  intersection  with route eight northeast of Piseco lake and all
    15  that portion of the state highway system beginning at  the  intersection
    16  of the New York state thruway and state route one hundred sixty-nine and
    17  running  thence  northwesterly  along route one hundred sixty-nine until
    18  its intersection with state route twenty-eight in the village of Middle-
    19  ville, and all that portion of the state highway system  beginning  with
    20  the intersection of state route one hundred sixty-nine with state routes
    21  five and one hundred sixty-seven in the city of Little Falls, continuing
    22  northeasterly along route one hundred sixty-seven to the intersection of
    23  state  route  twenty-nine in the village of Dolgeville, continuing north
    24  and then west along state route twenty-nine  to  its  beginning  at  its
    25  intersection  with  state routes twenty-eight and one hundred sixty-nine
    26  in the village of Middleville shall  be  designated  and  known  as  the
    27  "Southern Adirondack Trail".
    28    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
