          read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means

        AN ACT appropriating certain monies for capital improvements to the  Kew
          Gardens, Lefferts Boulevard bridge

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The sum of two million dollars  ($2,000,000),  or  so  much
     2  thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the department of
     3  transportation  out  of  any moneys in the state treasury in the general
     4  fund to the credit of the general fund, not otherwise appropriated,  and
     5  made  immediately  available, for the purpose of capital improvements to
     6  the Kew Gardens, Lefferts Boulevard bridge, including  but  not  limited
     7  to,  structural  and  full  remediation of the outside wall. Such moneys
     8  shall be payable on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on vouchers
     9  certified or approved by  the  comptroller,  in  consultation  with  the
    10  commissioner of transportation, in the manner prescribed by law.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
