STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10314 IN ASSEMBLY May 13, 2022 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. K. Brown) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT to amend the general obligations law, in relation to allowing certain parties of releases and covenants involving PFAS to seek contribution from other responsible parties The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 15-108 of the general obligations law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision (e) to read as follows: 3 (e) Exemption for releases and covenants involving PFAS. Notwith- 4 standing any other provision of law to the contrary, every person 5 providing cleanup, removal of discharge of per- and polyfluoroalkyl 6 substances (PFAS) shall be entitled to contribution from any other 7 responsible party. 8 § 2.
