        AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation to the real prop-
          erty tax exemption for structures and buildings essential to  agricul-
          tural and horticultural use
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 483 of the real property tax  law,
     2  as  amended  by  chapter  544 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as
     3  follows:
     4    1. Structures and  buildings  essential  to  the  operation  of  lands
     5  actively  devoted to agricultural or horticultural use and actually used
     6  and occupied to carry out such operation which are constructed or recon-
     7  structed subsequent to January first, nineteen  hundred  sixty-nine  and
     8  prior to January first, [two thousand nineteen] two thousand twenty-nine
     9  shall  be  exempt  from  taxation to the extent of any increase in value
    10  thereof by reason of such construction or reconstruction for a period of
    11  ten years.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
