       AN ACT to provide for the payment of universal kindergarten program  aid
         for the 2011-2012 school year to the Westfield central school district
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of  section  3602-e  of  the
    2  education  law  or  any  other  provisions  of law to the contrary, with
    3  regard to the payment of universal  kindergarten  program  aid  for  the
    4  2011-2012  school  year  to  the  Westfield central school district, the
    5  incorrect statement of unserved pupils in such district included in  the
    6  application  submitted  for  such  aid  by  the Westfield central school
    7  district shall not be  deemed  to  prohibit  and  impede  the  education
    8  department  from  making  payment of such aid for all unserved pupils in
    9  such district, if on or before  April  1,  2012  the  Westfield  central
   10  school district files a corrected application for universal kindergarten
   11  program  aid.  The education department shall pay such universal prekin-
   12  dergarten program aid for the 2011-2012 school year from funds appropri-
   13  ated from funds appropriated for prior year claims.
   14    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
