       AN  ACT  in relation to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming
         certain acts and proceedings of the Hunter-Tannersville Central School
         District with respect to certain transportation contracts
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
    2  or caused to be had and taken by the Hunter-Tannersville Central  School
    3  District  and  by  all  officers,  employees  or  agents  of such school
    4  district relating  to  or  in  connection  with  certain  transportation
    5  contracts of the 2011-2012 school year with various contractors, and all
    6  acts  incidental  thereto  are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and
    7  confirmed, notwithstanding any  failure  to  comply  with  the  contract
    8  award,  approval,  categorizing  and  filing provisions of the education
    9  law, general municipal law or any  other  law  or  any  other  statutory
   10  authority,   rule  or  regulation,  other  than  the  filing  provisions
   11  contained in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the  educa-
   12  tion  law,  in  relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or
   13  illegality in such acts done and proceedings had and taken.
   14    S 2. The education department  is  hereby  directed  to  consider  the
   15  aforementioned  contracts  for  transportation  aid  as valid and proper
   16  obligations of the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District.
   17    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
