        AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation to establishing a
          real property tax exemption for members of the New York guard
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  The  real  property  tax  law  is amended by adding a new
     2  section 452-a to read as follows:
     3    § 452-a. Members of the New York guard.   Real property owned  by  any
     4  member of the New York guard shall be deemed exempt from fifteen percent
     5  of all taxes imposed by a municipal corporation in which such real prop-
     6  erty  is located, including those imposed by a school district, provided
     7  that the governing board of such  municipality,  after  public  hearing,
     8  adopts a local law, ordinance or resolution providing therefor.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
