STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 8345 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY June 9, 2017 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. WOERNER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to the "Upper Hudson Wine Trail" The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The section heading of section 343-k of the highway law, as 2 amended by chapter 108 of the laws of 2014, is amended, and a new subdi- 3 vision 11 is added to read as follows: 4 Portions of the state highway system to be designated as the "Lake 5 Erie Wine Country Trail", the "Canandaigua Wine Trail", the "Cayuga Wine 6 Trail East", the "Cayuga Wine Trail West", the "Seneca Lake Wine Trail 7 East", the "Seneca Lake Wine Trail West", the "Keuka Lake Wine Trail", 8 the "Shawangunk Wine Trail", the "Dutchess Wine Trail", the "North Fork 9 Wine Trail", the "Hamptons Wine Trail", the "Long Island Wine Region", 10 the "Niagara Wine Trail Ridge", the "Niagara Wine Trail Lake", the "Lake 11 Ontario Wine Trail", the "Adirondack Coast Wine Trail" [and], the "St. 12 Lawrence Wine Trail" and the "Upper Hudson Wine Trail". 13 11. The "Upper Hudson Wine Trail" shall include two trails which shall 14 be designated and known as the "Upper Hudson Wine Trail West" and the 15 "Upper Hudson Wine Trail East". All that portion of the state highway 16 system beginning at the intersection of state route US 20 and state 17 route 146 (Altamont Road) in the town of Guilderland, and continuing 18 west on state route US 20 to state route 30 in the town of Duanesburg, 19 and continuing north on state route 30 to state route 67 in the city of 20 Amsterdam, and continuing east on state route 67 to state route 50 in 21 the village of Ballston Spa, and continuing north on state route 50 to 22 West avenue in the city of Saratoga Springs, and continuing north on 23 West avenue to state route 9N in the city of Saratoga Springs, and 24 continuing north on state route 9N to its intersection with state route 25 US 9 and state route 9N in the town of Lake George, and continuing north EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD02962-02-7A. 8345 2 1 on state route US 9 and state route 9N to its intersection with state 2 route 9N (lake shore drive) in the village of Lake George shall be 3 designated and known as the "Upper Hudson Wine Trail West". All that 4 portion of the state highway system beginning at the intersection of 5 state route 40 and state route 67 in the village of Schaghticoke, and 6 continuing north on state route 40 to its intersection with state route 7 29 near the unincorporated community of Middle Falls (town of Easton), 8 and continuing east on state route 29 to its intersection with state 9 route 372 in the village of Greenwich, and continuing east on state 10 route 372 to its intersection with Washington County route 74 in the 11 village of Greenwich, and continuing south on Washington County route 74 12 to the Washington-Rensselaer County line where Washington County route 13 74 becomes Rensselaer County route 114, and continuing south on Rensse- 14 laer County route 114 to Rensselaer County route 111 in the town of 15 Schaghticoke, and continuing south on Rensselaer County route 111 to its 16 intersection with NY 67 in the unincorporated community of Johnsonville 17 (town of Pittstown), and continuing west on state route 67 to its inter- 18 section with state route 40 in the village of Schaghticoke shall be 19 designated and known as the "Upper Hudson Wine Trail East". 20 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
