       AN ACT to amend the economic development law, in  relation  to  ensuring
         that  businesses  receiving  state  or  New  York city funding provide
         financial literacy opportunities to employees
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section 100 of the economic development law is amended by
    2  adding a new subdivision 48 to read as follows:
    3    48. TO WORK WITH THE NEW YORK CITY  ECONOMIC  DEVELOPMENT  CORPORATION
    4  AND  THE  NEW  YORK  CITY  HOUSING  AUTHORITY  TO ENSURE THAT BUSINESSES
    5  RECEIVING STATE OR NEW YORK CITY FUNDING WITHIN A THIRTY MILE RADIUS  OF
    6  NEW  YORK  CITY  HOUSING AUTHORITY FACILITIES PROVIDE FINANCIAL LITERACY
    7  OPPORTUNITIES TO THEIR EMPLOYEES.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    9  have become a law.
