Section 2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 83 to read as follows: 3 83. THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR OR THE CHIEF INVESTIGATOR OF THE OFFICE 4 OF THE RICHMOND COUNTY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR, WHEN ENGAGING IN THE 5 PROTECTION OR TRANSFER OF A DECEDENT'S PROPERTY. PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT 6 NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFICER TO CARRY, 7 POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM UNLESS THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE 8 THEREFOR HAS BEEN ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 400.00 OF THE PENAL LAW. 9 S 2.
