        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation  to  authorizing
          the  dormitory  authority  to provide financing to the Masonic Medical
          Research Laboratory

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Paragraph  (b)  of  subdivision  2 of section 1676 of the
     2  public authorities law is amended by adding a new undesignated  subpara-
     3  graph to read as follows:
     4    Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, a not-for-profit corporation, for
     5  the  design,  acquisition,  financing, refinancing, construction, recon-
     6  struction, renovation, rehabilitation, development, improvement,  expan-
     7  sion, furnishing, equipping or otherwise providing for a facility and/or
     8  facilities,  including  any  necessary  or ancillary facilities, for the
     9  purpose of conducting scientific  research  or  conducting  testing  for
    10  public health in the city of Utica.
    11    §  2.  Subdivision  1 of section 1680 of the public authorities law is
    12  amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows:
    13    Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, a not-for-profit corporation, for
    14  the design, acquisition, financing,  refinancing,  construction,  recon-
    15  struction,  renovation, rehabilitation, development, improvement, expan-
    16  sion, furnishing, equipping or otherwise providing for a facility and/or
    17  facilities, including any necessary or  ancillary  facilities,  for  the
    18  purpose  of  conducting  scientific  research  or conducting testing for
    19  public health in the city of Utica.
    20    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
