SWEENEY, CASTELLI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to transfer of a lifetime hunting, fishing and trapping license THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The closing paragraph of section 11-0704 of the environ- 2 mental conservation law, as added by chapter 507 of the laws of 2010, is 3 amended to read as follows: 4 Provided, however, that subdivisions one [and], six AND SEVEN of this 5 section shall not apply when the person to whom such license was issued 6 [died while serving in the active United States military, naval, or air 7 services during a period of war] WAS A MEMBER OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE 8 UNITED STATES OR A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OR OTHER RESERVE COMPO- 9 NENT OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES WHO DIED IN COMBAT ZONE OR 10 COMBAT ZONE OF OPERATIONS OR WHILE DEPLOYED FOR ACTIVE MILITARY DUTY, 11 OTHER THAN TRAINING, ON OR AFTER THE ELEVENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, TWO 12 THOUSAND ONE. 13 S 2.
