       AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation  to  providing  for
         continued  state  reimbursement  for health services to pre-school and
         school age children
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  364-j  of  the social services law is amended by
    2  adding a new subdivision 25 to read as follows:
    3    25. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISION OF THIS  SECTION  OR  OF  ANY  OTHER
    4  PROVISION  OF  LAW  TO  THE CONTRARY, HEALTH SERVICES FOR PRE-SCHOOL AND
    5  SCHOOL  AGE  CHILDREN  PROVIDED  PURSUANT   TO   CHAPTER   ONE   HUNDRED
    6  NINETY-EIGHT  OF THE LAWS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT, AS AMENDED,
    7  SHALL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE STATE REIMBURSEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
    8  THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT-A OF THIS TITLE.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the  amend-
   10  ments to section 364-j of the social services law made by section one of
   11  this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed
   12  repealed therewith.
