        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring  the  secre-
          tary of state to notify local governments of new laws
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new  section  93-a
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  93-a.  Publishing laws to local governments. The secretary of state
     4  shall send via electronic mail a copy of all laws enacted on  and  after
     5  January first, two thousand twenty, including a brief summary of the law
     6  and  its  implementation requirements, to a representative of each local
     7  government in the state.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
