       AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation  to  sexual  solicitation  of
         minors
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The penal law is amended by adding a new section 130.18  to
    2  read as follows:
    3  S 130.18 SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR.
    4    A  PERSON  IS  GUILTY OF SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR WHEN HE OR SHE
    5  ACCOSTS A PERSON UNDER SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE IN A PUBLIC PLACE AND SOLIC-
    6  ITS SAID PERSON TO ENGAGE IN AN ACT INVOLVING SEXUAL CONTACT.
    7    SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR IS A CLASS B MISDEMEANOR.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed-
    9  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
