        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  the  enforcement  of
          certain provisions relating to the practice of massage therapy
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new  section  7808
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  7808.  Enforcement by New York city department of consumer affairs.
     4  Notwithstanding any other provision of this  title,  the  department  of
     5  consumer affairs in the city of New York shall have authority to enforce
     6  the  requirements  of  this  article, including the imposition of fines,
     7  within the city of New York.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
