Authorizes State Treasurer to sell as surplus certain land and improvements now part of East Jersey Prison to Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County for a restricted use.

An Act authorizing the State Treasurer to sell as surplus property certain land and improvements thereon now part of East Jersey Prison to Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County for a restricted use.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. The Department of the Treasury, on behalf of the Department of Corrections, is authorized to sell and convey for a nominal value all of the State's interest in the 15.5+ acres of land and improvements thereon, that have been declared surplus to the needs of the State, now part of East Jersey Prison in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, designated as Block 908, Part of Lot 10 on the tax map of the township.
b. The sale and conveyance authorized by subsection a. of this section shall be executed subject to the restricted use determined by Woodbridge Township.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill authorizes the State Treasurer to sell and convey for a nominal value to Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County 15.5+ acres of land and improvements now part of East Jersey Prison subject to certain restricted uses as determined by the Township. The improvements include four former employee residences. The land and improvements have been declared surplus to the needs of the State.
