A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016 and regulating the disbursement thereof," P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as Senate Bill No. 2016).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as Senate Bill No. 2016), there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

The Secretary of Higher Education shall allocate the amount hereinabove appropriated for Security Enhancements to the institution of higher education determined by the Secretary to be most in need of security enhancements in order to protect the safety of students and faculty.
2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015.
STATEMENT
This bill makes supplemental appropriations totaling $6.5 million from the General Fund during FY 2016. Of that amount, $6 million is appropriated from the General Fund to the Transportation Assistance for Senior Citizens and Disabled Residents program within New Jersey Transit. In FY 2016, $18,264,000 is to be appropriated to the program from the Casino Revenue Fund. This additional appropriation from the General Fund would bring total support for the program to $24,264,000.
This bill also appropriates $500,000 from the General Fund to the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education for security enhancements to the institution of higher education determined by the Secretary to be most in need of security enhancements for the protection and safety of students and faculty.
