     Permits bowling alleys, including alleys licensed to sell alcoholic beverages, to conduct amusement games.

An Act permitting bowling alleys, including alleys licensed to sell alcoholic beverages, to conduct amusement games and supplementing P.L.1959, c.108 (C.5:8-78 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The operator of a bowling alley, including a bowling alley for which a plenary retail consumption license as defined in R.S.33:1-12 has been issued, shall be eligible to be issued for that premises an amusement game license, pursuant to P.L.1959, c.109 (C.5:8-100 et seq.), provided that the premises includes at least 10 United States Bowling Congress (USBC) sanctioned bowling lanes, at least 40 amusement games, and meets all other requirements for licensure to conduct amusement games.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill provides that the operator of a bowling alley, including a bowling alley for which a plenary retail consumption license has been issued, will be eligible to be issued for that premises an amusement game license provided that the premises includes at least 10 United States Bowling Congress (USBC) sanctioned bowling lanes, at least 40 amusement games, and meets all other requirements for licensure to conduct amusement games.
