A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June , 2015 (P.L.2015, c.63).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2015, c.63, there is appropriated out of the Property Tax Relief Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015, or upon the enactment of P.L.2015, c.63, the annual appropriations act for fiscal year 2016, whichever occurs later.
STATEMENT
This bill provides a supplemental appropriation of $3.1 million to the Department of Education to provide additional State school aid to the Manchester Regional School District. As a result of recent decisions regarding the tax levy apportionment among the municipalities included in the Manchester Regional School District, residents of Prospect Park and Haledon have experienced significant and unsustainable property tax increases. This additional State aid would offset a portion of that increase and provide much-needed relief to residents of that community. The aid should only be used to bring tax relief to the communities of the Manchester Regional School District.
