SYNOPSIS
Appropriates $5,000,000 from General Fund to DOE for Bullying Prevention Fund.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June , 2016 (P.L.2016, c. ).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2016, c. , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

From the amount hereinabove appropriated to the Bullying Prevention Fund, the Commissioner of Education shall provide grants to school districts to assist in their ensuring compliance with the provisions of the "Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act," P.L.2002, c.83 (C.18A:37-13 et seq.).
2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016, or upon the enactment of P.L.2016, c. , the annual appropriations act for fiscal year 2016-2017, whichever occurs later.
STATEMENT
This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $5 million from the General Fund to the Department of Education in fiscal year 2016-2017. The Commissioner of Education would use the funding to provide grants to school districts to assist them in ensuring compliance with the "Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act," P.L.2002, c.83 (C.18A:37-13 et seq.).
