     Requires counties to specify expenditures concerning veterans' services when submitting budget to Division of Local Government Services in DCA.

An Act requiring counties specify veterans' services expenditures in certain budget submissions and supplementing chapter 4 of Title 40A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    In submitting a county budget to the director for certification, pursuant to N.J.S.40A:4-10, a county shall separately and specifically state expenditures concerning veterans' services, including, but not limited to, transportation and employment counseling services.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect on the first day of the second month next following enactment and shall apply to each county budget submitted to the Director of the Division of Local Government Services after the effective date of P.L.    , c.    (C.        ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill).

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires a county, when submitting its budget to the Director of the Division of Local Government Services for certification, to separately and specifically state expenditures concerning veterans' services, including, but not limited to, transportation and employment counseling services.
