AN ACT relative to the United States flag worn as a patch.
COMMITTEE: Public and Municipal Affairs
This bill prohibits the use of a “reverse image” United States flag for use as a patch on certain state and municipal personnel uniforms.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to the United States flag worn as a patch.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Wearing of the United States Flag as a Patch. Amend RSA 3-E by inserting after section 3 the following new section:
3-E:4 Wearing of United States Flag as a Patch. State and local agencies, law enforcement officers, fire department personnel, and first responders of all type, shall not wear a “reverse image” of the United States flag. If any state, city, or town department chooses to include an American flag as part of their uniform it shall be in conformance with United States Flag Code.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
