STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

A RESOLUTION urging the prohibition of enforcing a particular federal executive order.

Whereas, Article 1, Section 1 of the Constitution for the United States of America delegates all legislative authority of the government of United States of America to the Congress of the United�States; and

Whereas, Article 2, of the Constitution for the United States of America delegates no legislative authority to the President of the Unites States of America; and

Whereas, Executive Order 13547 has as its stated goal to pursue the United States’ accession to the Law of the Sea Convention; and

Whereas, the Law of the Sea Convention has not been duly ratified by the Senate of the United�States of America; and

Whereas, Executive Order 13547 attempts to control the actions of the State of New Hampshire, its citizens and corporations formed under its authority; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the general court of New Hampshire hereby urges the prohibition of Executive Order 13547 Stewardship of the Ocean, Our Coasts, and the Great Lakes; and

That copies of this resolution be forwarded by the house clerk to the President of the United�States, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the president of the United States Senate, and each member of the New Hampshire congressional delegation.
