METHODOLOGY:
This bill requires the Adjutant General's Department to include at least $25,000 in the New Hampshire National Guard Scholarship (NHNGS) Fund in the Department's operating budget request for each fiscal year. The NHNGS Fund is nonlapsing and funded by all revenue received from sources other than governmental agencies from the rental of all national guard armories. The Department states this bill would cause it to reduce another budget line item by an equivalent amount which could negatively impact operations.
