STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
AN ACT relative to removal of trees from state property.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Forest Cutting. Amend RSA 227-I by inserting after section 4 the following new section:
227-I:4-a Forest Cutting. If the state intends to either clear cut trees or select cut valuable timber, diseased trees, or standing deadwood trees that are a clear and present danger within 50 feet of the developed land of a private abutter, the director shall get written permission from such abutter before commencing any such cutting operations and shall clear all slash and debris from such area when finished with cutting operations.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
