Short Title:        Reporting of Scores on the ASVAB Test.

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT relating to the reporting of scores on the armed services vocational APTITUDE battery (ASVAB) test.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 115C‑12 is amended by adding a new subdivision to read:

"(38)    Duty with regard to  schools administering the ASVAB test. – The State Board of Education shall ensure that public schools administering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) include among the options for reporting student test results the option not to send the results to armed forces recruiters."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law and applies beginning with the 2011‑2012 school year.
