A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to amend the laws pertaining to procedures for challenging absentee ballots to allow a registered voter to challenge an absentee ballot by county versus precinct.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. G.S. 163‑89(b) reads as rewritten:
"(b) Who May Challenge. –
Any registered voter of the same precinct as the absentee votercounty
may challenge that a voter's absentee ballot."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
