A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT providing that funds for the protection of military buffers appropriated to the Agricultural Development and Farmland preservation trust fund for the 2015‑2016 fiscal year are nonreverting.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 13.2A of S.L. 2014‑100 reads as rewritten:
"FARMLAND PRESERVATION TRUST FUND
"SECTION 13.2A. Funds appropriated by this act
to the North Carolina Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust
Fund for protection of military buffers may only be used to match funding from
the federal government for that purpose on at least an equal basis and shall
otherwise revert as set forth in G.S. 143C‑1‑2.basis. Funds
that remain unexpended and unencumbered as of June 30, 2015, shall not revert
to the General Fund at the end of the 2015‑2016 fiscal year, but shall
remain available until expended."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
