A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to require the department of health and human services to report on the PROGRESS TOWARD IMPLEMENTING AND UTILIZING uniform evidence‑based practices across all state psychiatric HOSPITALS, as recommended by the joint legislative oversight committee on mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  By September 1, 2011, and annually thereafter, the Department of Health and Human Services shall report to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Health and Human Services, the House of Representatives Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services on the progress achieved in implementing and utilizing uniform evidence‑based practices across all State psychiatric hospitals.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
