A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT providing that A list of e‑mail addresses of persons subscribing to e‑mail lists kept by the city of charlotte SHALL BE OPEN TO PUBLIC INSPEction but THE city IS not required to provide A COPY OF THE LIST, and PROVIDING THAT THE city may use thE list only for the purposes that it was subscribed to.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of S.L. 2010‑83 reads as rewritten:
"SECTION 3. This act applies only to Wake
County, the City ofCities of Charlotte and Raleigh, and the Towns
of Apex, Cary, Fuquay‑Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale,
Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Zebulon, and to Yadkin County."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
