A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to reestablish magistrate positions for transylvania and polk counties.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated to the Judicial Department the sum of fifty‑eight thousand one hundred four dollars ($58,104) for the 2013‑2014 fiscal year and the sum of fifty‑five thousand six hundred sixty‑nine dollars ($55,669) for the 2014‑2015 fiscal year to reestablish a magistrate position for Transylvania County.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated to the Judicial Department the sum of fifty‑eight thousand one hundred four dollars ($58,104) for the 2013‑2014 fiscal year and the sum of fifty‑five thousand six hundred sixty‑nine dollars ($55,669) for the 2014‑2015 fiscal year to reestablish a magistrate position for Polk County.

SECTION 3.  G.S. 7A‑133(c) reads as rewritten:

"(c)       Each county shall have the numbers of magistrates and additional seats of district court, as set forth in the following table:

Polk                                                   3 4

Rutherford                                             6

Transylvania                                       3 4

�."

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2013.
