A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND SALUTING THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL "ATTACH�" SHOW CHOIR AND DIRECTOR DAVID FEHR FOR ITS NATIONAL RANKING AND FOR ITS OUTSTANDING 2012-2013 COMPETITION SEASON.

WHEREAS, Attach�, the Show Choir from Clinton High School, again is listed as tops in the nation by the National Show Choir Ranking System, the only choir from Mississippi ranked in the Top 10. It has won all of its competitions this year, earning the title Grand Champion, the highest honor. Since 1992, Attach� has been under the dedicated and energetic direction of David and Mary Fehr. Attach� has won the national record-winning streak of 24 Grand Championships while competing against the elite groups from across the nation; and

WHEREAS, the renowned 45-member Clinton High School Attach� Show Choir and student orchestras under the direction of David and Mary Fehr won Grand Champion honors in every competition in which they competed in 2012-2013; and

WHEREAS, Attach� is once again listed as tops in the nation by the National Show Choir Ranking System. The choir is the only one from Mississippi ranked in the system's Top 10 and has won all of its competitions this year by being named Grand Champion, the highest honor. (Clinton-Attach� was First Runner-Up in the 2013 Wheaton WS Choral Classic held March 8-9, 2013); and

WHEREAS, the newest rankings in the system's Premier Event Series and each choir's point total shows:

� Clinton High School 'Attach�' (128.5);

� Waubonsie Valley High School 'Sound Check' (128);

� Waukee High School 'Millenium' (127);

� Wheaton Warrenville South High School 'The Classics' (124);

� John Burroughs High School 'Powerhouse' (123);

� Zionsville High School 'Royalaires' (122.5);

� Omaha Westside High School 'Amazing Technicolor Show Choir' (121);

� Pleasant Hill High School 'Hillside Singers' (119);

� Carmel High School 'Ambassadors' (118);

� Solon High School 'Music in Motion' (117.6); and

WHEREAS, "We are proud of all the hard work and dedication of our students and staff in Attach�," said Dr. Phillip Burchfield, Superintendent of the Clinton Public School District. "We have a long tradition of excellence in our Show Choir, and its amazing to see that recognized on the national stage each year"; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize and commend the accomplishments of the students of this nationally and internationally known Show Choir which has brought honor to Clinton High School, the City of Clinton and the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize and salute the Clinton High School Attach� Show Choir for its national record of 24 Grand Championships, for its outstanding 2012-2013 competition season and for its National ranking by the National Show Choir Ranking System, and extend our best wishes to the students, directors, parents and sponsors of this award-winning choir in their future competitions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the Clinton High School Attach� Show Choir, Director David Fehr, and Principal Dr. Eddie J. Peasant, forwarded to the Clinton Municipal School Board and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
