A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING VIC A. GAUTHREAUX, JR., FOR BEING SELECTED AS "INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR" AT THE HARRISON COUNTY CAMPUS OF MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
WHEREAS, Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., a resident of Diamondhead, Mississippi, has been selected as "Instructor of the Year" at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in recognition of his distinguished service to the college; and
WHEREAS, the award was established by the Alumni Association of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to honor instructors, and the recipient of the award is chosen from nominations submitted by students, faculty and administrators on the basis of his or her teaching excellence, college service, community service and professional development; and
WHEREAS, Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., an Information Systems Technology Instructor, has been employed at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for the past ten years; and
WHEREAS, dedicated to academic excellence, Mr. Gauthreaux, Jr., received his Associate of Applied Science degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Governor's University and a Master of Science in Information Technology from West Governor's University; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., has worked as a website designer for Coast Services, and a field technician for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College prior to his career as an Information Technology Instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; and
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize and commend such an outstanding teacher as Mr. Gauthreaux, Jr., who has dedicated his career to teaching the students of the State of Mississippi:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., for being selected as "Instructor of the Year" at the Harrison County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and extend to him our most sincere wishes for success in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Mr. Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., forwarded to the President of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
