A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY GRADUATE JAMES ARNOLD, JR., CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF KOFAX, INC.

     WHEREAS, James Arnold, Jr., a graduate of Delta State University, was appointed as Chief Financial Officer and a member of Kofax, Inc.'s Board of Directors on June 15, 2010.  He has almost 30 years of executive financial management experience; and

     WHEREAS, most recently, James was with Nuance Communications, Inc., a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, where he was a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from September 2004 through August 2008, and then a consultant through September 2009.  From 2003 to 2004, James was Vice President and Corporate Controller at Cadence Design Systems, Inc.  From 1997 to 2003, he held several senior financial management roles at Informix Software, Inc., including Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and from 1995 to 1997, he served as Corporate Controller at Centura Software Corporation; and

     WHEREAS, James Arnold began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Delta State University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University; and

     WHEREAS, Kofax is managed by a team of individuals with extensive experience in the information technology industry.  Mr. Arnold and the Executive Management Team is responsible for the definition, development and execution of the strategy; and

     WHEREAS, Kofax strives to achieve a profile as a socially responsible company through the rollout of a number of initiatives.  The company's executive management is responsible for the continued implementation and monitoring of the company's compliance in all matters of corporate social responsibility.  In addition, the Board of Directors regularly reviews the company's corporate social responsibility risks and compliance with the assistance of the company's executive management.  The company is also dedicated to giving back to the communities in which it conducts its business.  The company therefore donates to assist in cancer research and various other social, community development and service efforts.  The company plans to further strengthen its profile as a corporate citizen during the next financial year and to better position itself to serve the needs of its customers and business partners on a global basis; and

     WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we note the business success and corporate leadership of a graduate of one of our outstanding Mississippi universities:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize and commend the executive management accomplishments of Delta State University graduate James Arnold, Jr., Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Kofax Business Solutions, Inc., and extend to him and his family our best wishes in their future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to James Arnold and forwarded to John M. Hilpert, President of Delta State University, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
