Senate Bill 3224
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO USE PART OF THE CITY'S TRAFFIC FINE MONEY FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to use part of the city's traffic fine money for community development initiatives, including, but not limited to, housing programs by supplementing money provided to the city by the federal government for housing assistance, violence prevention programs and traffic safety programs.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
