AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF NATCHEZ, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ADAMS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO NATCHEZ, INC., A MISSISSIPPI NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES; TO REPEAL CHAPTER 913, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2002, WHICH CREATES THE NATCHEZ-ADAMS COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, AND TO PROVIDE THAT ANY FUNDS HELD BY THE NATCHEZ-ADAMS COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FROM ANY SOURCE, AND ALL EQUIPMENT, FURNISHINGS AND OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY, RECORDS, DOCUMENTS AND FILES OF THE NATCHEZ-ADAMS COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, SHALL BE CONTRIBUTED OR TRANSFERRED TO NATCHEZ, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Natchez, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) each fiscal year through fiscal year 2013 to Natchez, Inc., a Mississippi nonprofit corporation organized for economic development purposes.

     SECTION 2.  The Board of Supervisors of Adams County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) each fiscal year through fiscal year 2013 to Natchez, Inc., a Mississippi nonprofit corporation organized for economic development purposes.

     SECTION 3.  Chapter 913, Local and Private Laws of 2002, which creates the Natchez-Adams County Development Authority, is repealed and any funds held by the Natchez-Adams County Development Authority from any source, and all equipment, furnishings and other personal property, records, documents and files of the Natchez-Adams County Development Authority, shall be contributed or transferred to Natchez, Inc.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after June 1, 2010.
