Senate Bill 3096

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PERMIT LEGAL GAMING IN STRUCTURES LOCATED, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, ON SHORE IN THE COUNTY IF THE STRUCTURE IS OWNED, LEASED OR CONTROLLED BY A PERSON POSSESSING A GAMING LICENSE TO CONDUCT LEGAL GAMING; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Not withstanding the provisions of Sections 87-1-5, 97-33-1, 97-33-7, 97-33-17, 97-33-25 and 97-33-27, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other law to the contrary, the Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to permit legal gaming in structures located, in whole or in part, on shore in the county if the structure is owned, leased or controlled by a person possessing a gaming license, as defined in Section 75-75-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, to conduct legal gaming.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
