AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 917, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2016, TO EXTEND THE REPEAL DATE ON THE PROVISION OF LAW AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY GIRLS STATE PROGRAM; TO AMEND CHAPTER 908, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2017, TO EXTEND THE REPEAL DATE ON THE PROVISION OF LAW AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE STOREHOUSE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY; TO AMEND CHAPTER 937, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2017, TO EXTEND THE REPEAL DATE ON THE PROVISION OF LAW AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE READ BY THIRD GRADE, A TUTORIAL PROGRAM FOR AT-RISK STUDENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Chapter 917, Local and Private Laws of 2016, is amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute annually an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), out of any available funds of the city, to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program.
(2) Contributions made under this chapter from and after July 1, 2020, and until the effective date of Senate Bill No. 3083, 2021 Regular Session, are hereby ratified and confirmed.

and after July 1, * * * 2025.
SECTION 2. Chapter 908, Local and Private Laws of 2017, is amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The
governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, * * * are authorized and empowered, in
their discretion, to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not
to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to the Storehouse Community Food
Pantry.
(2) This section shall be
repealed from and after July 1, * * * 2025.
SECTION 3. Chapter 937, Local and Private Laws of 2017, is amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute annually not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), out of any available funds of the city, to the Read by Third Grade, a Tutorial Program For At-Risk Students.
(2) This section shall be
repealed from and after July 1, * * * 2025.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
