AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO SPRING INITIATIVE, INC., A MISSISSIPPI NONPROFIT CORPORATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually from the county general fund in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to Spring Initiative, Inc., a Mississippi nonprofit corporation, a sum in an amount determined by the board of supervisors, if Spring Initiative, Inc.:
(a) Has maintained its status as a Mississippi nonprofit corporation and its tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and
(b) Has filed its federal and state income tax returns in a timely fashion and provides proof to the board of supervisors of timely filing of the returns.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after September 30, 2020.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
