Senate Bill 3022

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF HERNANDO, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE HERNANDO CIVIC CENTER AND HERNANDO YOUTH SPORTS THROUGH CALENDAR YEAR 2016 SO LONG AS THE DONATED FUNDS ARE TO BE UTILIZED TO OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE OR MANAGE THE HERNANDO CIVIC CENTER AS A PUBLIC PARK; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Hernando, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute to Hernando Youth Sports, Inc., from any available funds, such amounts as they deem appropriate, but not to exceed in the aggregate more than Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) annually through calendar year 2016, so long as the donated funds are utilized to operate, maintain and improve or manage the Hernando Civic Center park as a public park.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
