Senate Bill 3001
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO CHARITABLE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAXATION UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE MARSHALL COUNTY FOOD PANTRY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute from any available funds an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) to charitable nonprofit organizations exempt from income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, but not limited to, the Marshall County Food Pantry.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
